FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How can I save through Cycle to Work?
Cycle to Work is an employee benefit that lets you obtain goods via salary sacrifice. Applying to pay via Cycle to Work means you agree to sacrifice a portion of your gross salary in exchange for a benefit, in this case, a new bike and/or accessories. Salary sacrifice also means you won't pay tax or national insurance on these products, which is where the savings are made.
The amount you save depends on your tax bracket. Low-band taxpayers can typically save approximately 28%, while 40% taxpayers can save 42% and 45% taxpayers up to 47%. Don’t forget you can still take advantage of any sale offers or promotions on the bike. Simply use the listed sale price when making your application. Use our Cycle to Work calculator to determine how much you could save.
Can I only use the bike to cycle to work?
The scheme is designed to promote cycling to work, but you can use the bike for any kind of riding you'd like. The scheme states that 50% of the bike's use should be for work purposes, but there is no need to keep a log of your usage.
Will I own the bike and/or accessories?
The bike and/or accessories remain the property of your employer during the initial hire period (salary sacrifice). Speak to your employer/benefits provider to understand what happens at the end of the scheme.
When can I apply?
Some employers may have set application windows. Contact your employer/benefits provider to find out when your application window opens and closes.

No. The total voucher value must cover the bike's full cost, accessories, and delivery fee.

If you want to change your bike or accessories, please place a new order. Your Cycle to Work voucher will be applied to the most recent order you place.
